1. Order Processing
- Ready-made items are processed and shipped within 1–2 business days.
- Made-to-order items may take longer.
The estimated processing time will be shown on the product page.
2. Shipping
- Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the courier and location.
- Shipping costs and delivery options are shown at checkout.
- Douglas in Stitches is not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services.
3. Returns
You have the right to return your item within 14 days of receiving it, in line with UK consumer law.
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be unused and in its original condition.
- It must be returned in the original packaging.
- Proof of purchase is required.

4. Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- Items that have been worn or used
- Items that are damaged after delivery due to misuse
- Custom or made-to-order items (unless faulty)
5. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected:
- We will notify you of the approval or rejection.
- If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method.
Refunds may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
6. Return Shipping
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
- We recommend using a tracked service.
7. Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you receive a faulty or incorrect item:
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery.
- We will arrange a replacement or full refund.
